What I can offer you
I can work with you by offering warmth, professionalism and the opportunity for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in order to achieve greater clarity in your understanding of yourself and your choices in life.
I offer a person-centred approach, meaning that you and what you need forms the focus of each session.
I also work integratively, drawing on knowledge of other counselling theories, for example Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or Transactional Analysis, if I feel that they may be helpful for you.
I have a First Class BSc (Hons) in Social Sciences with Psychological Studies and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework.
I regularly attend a wide variety of CPD training events in order to keep my skills and knowledge current.
I am the Practice Counsellor for two West Devon NHS Health Centres where I offer Time-Limited Therapy.
I am also a Wellbeing Coordinator for the West Devon Wellbeing Project and teach Counselling Skills as a Lecturer at Exeter College.
If you have any questions, or are seeking clarification on any aspect of what you might expect from counselling, you are welcome to contact me, either by email:
or on 07788 475066.
I appreciate that this first step is a brave one and can assure you of a respectful and understanding response.
